Malden House is located in the regency coastal town of Sidmouth in East Devon, which nestles in the beautiful countryside and sandstone cliffs of the Sid Valley. The original building dates back to 1820 and has been expertly refurbished to maintain its period charm whilst offering a friendly, warm and comfortable environment. The house itself, coupled with its delightful location provides the perfect setting for a residential home.

We have 19 beds and offer residential, respite, day, dementia and palliative care. Care is provided by our dedicated professional team of staff who are fully trained in accordance with legislative requirements and to QCF standards.

Outside, our beautiful garden which regularly wins the “Sidmouth in Bloom” award provides a delightful haven for residents to relax or chat with friends and family. The grounds are tended all year round and include a purpose built activity garden to facilitate access, enjoyment and stimulation for all.

As part of our care package we publish a monthly programme of activities that is tailored to our residents’ preferences. There are always fun activities you can join in with; whether it’s baking, playing scrabble, enjoying an entertainer or a trip out for afternoon tea – there’s something for everyone!

Food plays an essential role in promoting heath and well being amongst our residents. Mealtimes are one of our favourite parts of the day and our catering team go the extra mile to ensure that all tastes, preferences, diets and appetites are catered for. All meals are prepared by our own chefs in our own kitchen, using fresh ingredients.
