About British Nursing Association
The British Nursing Association (BNA) is a trusted partner for direct homecare and for Local Authority providers of care, continuously since 1948. As the UK’s first national nursing agency, we have supplied qualified nurses and HCAs for more than 60 years.
The British Nursing Association specialises in national and local provision of temporary nursing and care staff. BNA offers long term, complex and non-complex care support and services, with an emphasis on quality care, competitive pricing and service value.
BNA offers you:-
Convenience: a wide skill-base of nurses and healthcare assistants is available
Flexibility: packages to suit: short and long-term programmes ensure consistent care - inclusing 24-7 & live-in care
Value: affordable rates to match available staffing and agency budgets
Reassurance: all our members are interviewed & checked: CRB, references, and confirmation of professional registrations
Transparency: detailed reporting to you to ensure best value and accountability
Management: the data Local Authority and other providers need to plan and control agency costs
The BNA is registered with the CQC in England, Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (N.Ireland), and Care Inspectorate (Scotland).
The Association has developed the sector’s most advanced, bespoke ICT systems, with an in-house team of 15 developers. A proven and tested recruitment process and centralised systems ensure consistent service levels. BNA is an accredited NHS service provider, achieving Platinum level NHS compliance on LPP.
Compliance systems include face-to-face interviews for all nurses and HCAs. Local recruitment is by our team of qualified nursing staff interviewers. The Compliance Department has over 50 dedicated personnel..
Detailed management and reporting systems, and documented procedures, support all our processes. There is rigorous testing and constant review by an internal audit team. Extra safeguards include our Risk Committee and Information Security Committee. The teams report directly to our Board of Directors, each of whom has over 15 years continuous experience in medical staffing.
